Zach Jerry and Jared met a a court-ordered AA meeting. After making sure that Zach and Jerry were "cool", Jared produced a bottle of Maker's Mark whisky. Jerry revealed his hidden supply of beer in aluminum cans, and Zach provided the drugs. A short time later, they were arrested. The rest, as they say, is history.
